We are writing to formally express our strong objection to the spurious  name that was used to refer to "the Persian Gulf" during the section for West Asian Countries at the 91st general session of WOAH, which took place in Paris. The historical records dating back thousands of years clearly indicate that it has always been known as the "Persian Gulf" and will continue to be referred to as "Persian Gulf" indefinitely. We appreciate your attention to this matter and anticipate that the inappropriate behavior exhibited by certain delegates during this significant global gathering will be addressed. It is imperative that delegates refrain from distorting historical facts and misrepresenting information in such a crucial platform like the world assembly of WOAH
